Trinity Arrow is the newest LNG Carrier with membrane type built by the famous shipbuilder Imabari. The vessel has a cargo capacity of 154,900 cubic meters The vessel was built into the ship-yard of Koyo Dockyard and the owner of the beautiful LNG Carrier is Trinity Transport S.A. Trinity Arrow has a deadweight of 79,556 metric tons and gross tonnage of 108,010 metric tons. The overall length of the vessel is 289.93 meters and the length between perpendiculars is 276 meters. The other measurements of the vessel Trinity Arrow are beam of 44.70 meters, draught of 26.00 meters and draft, while fully loaded of 12.07 meters. On board of this LNG Carrier is installed main engine KAWASAKI UA400, which is giving to the vessel full power of 29,420 kW. This power is enough for the ship to reach the maximum cruising speed of 20.15 knots. But maximum speed of the ship is nearly 1 knot more, or 21.20 knots. But on board of the vessel there are many systems, because the cargo of such ships is very hard for transportation.

The Trinity Arrow is the first LNG carrier in a series of four to adopt GTT’s M-III Membrane system. The ship is developed to be easier for maneuvering and to be proper for many ports and LNG Trinity Arrow LNGterminals of the world. And this is easy for understanding, because so large ship with so dangerous cargo will not be welcome in each port. That is why from Imabari had developed the safety system of the vessel. And now we see Trinity Arrow with perfectly and almost 90% sure system for loading and discharging of very dangerous and explosive cargo. The more rational hull construction and equipment comply with the Lloyd’s Register’s (LR) Rules and Regulations and effective notations such as ShipRight (SDA, FDA plus, CM), to ensure safe operation and navigation. For the FDA, the vessel employed LR design appraisal document of 40 year lifetime which is confirmed by LR’s 3-D FEM analysis based on the intended service routes including North Atlantic, Middle East to Mediterranean and Europe, Middle East to North America, and Middle East to Asia, etc.

The vessel has four cargo tanks, and the first cargo tank is the “Trapezoidal tank in the horizontal direction” in the LNG world, which is very efficient not only volume-wise compared with an existing prismatic tank but also in gaining reduction of fuel oil consumption as a result of the advanced hull shape.
The all hull and shape are designed with double hull construction with double bottom, double side shells, and trunk deck forming an octagonal section. The bulkhead of each tank is provided with a cofferdam and space heated by circulating glycol water to keep the temperature above +5 degrees C due to the physical properties of the steel in accordance with the requirements of the IGC code.

Motor vessel Rigoletto is one of middle size car carrier. The vessel is property of the large and famous company for ship-owning Wallenius Lines and is sailing under the flag of Sweden. This is very good advertising for the vessel and for the company, because we all know that Sweden requirements are very hard and only high rated and very good vessels can sail under such flag. m/v Faust

The largest Car Carrier in the world is named motor vessel Faust. The ship is one of the interesting engineer outfits. The vessel was built in 2007 in the ship-yard of Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering DSME. The ship is sailing under the flag of Sweden and with its deadweight of 30,383 metric tons in maximum draft is the largest car carrier built ever. Well the number looks too low, but car carriers are designed to carry light cargoes, and their freeboards are too big. That is the main reason this one to have so little deadweight. But m/v Faust has not so little measurements. The Gross Tonnage of the vessel is 71,583 metric tons, with a length of 228 meters and a beam of 33 meters. The maximum draft of m/v Faust is 11.5 meters and the Air Draft of the vessel is 52 meters. The capacity of the ship is for nearly 8000 cars, but this large vessel is designed to carry not only cars, but also trucks.
The vessel Faust is very interesting ship, which is sailing over the all continents. The stern ramp has a width is 9.5 meters and a height of 6.5 me ters. The ramp has a capacity of 240 tones. Western Highway

Western Highway is the newly build car carrier of the ship-owner Bulkstar Enterprise. The vessel has a capacity to carry 3,893 units. The car carrier has 10 decks, and while building the most important problem that was solved, was about security and high production of roll on and roll off of cars. The ship can be loaded from 2 points, ramps situated on the starboard middle and on the stern. The ramps can load not more than 10 cars per minute, but even this rate is too big for the loading of such vessel. The vessel can carry heavy vehicles on board only on the two decks. All the decks can be lift, which is very important for car carriers for quick loading and discharging.
The ship Western Highway was built in Shin Kurushima Dockyard Ltd and Onushi Shipyard in May, 2007. The vessel has deadweight of 12,980 metric tons and a gross tonnage of 39,422 metric tons. The measurements of the vessel are generous. The length of Western Highway is 188.03 meters and beam is 28.20 meters. The draft of the car carrier is 8.524 meters from the whole draught of 27.97 meters. This means that the large freeboard of the ship is 19.446 meters. This is the main measure of one car carrier. Phoenix Leader is the newly built car carrier with capacity for 6,501 units. The vessel was built into the ship-yard of Imabari Shipbuilding Co. Ltd at the beginning of the year. The Phoenix Leader can carry also buses, trucks and recreational vehicles, but then the capacity decreases to 5,400 units. Phoenix Leader is property of Onjin Shipholding S.A. The vessel has 3 sister-ships, built into the same ship-yard, but I think that this vessel is shining with many stars in the sky of Car Carriers.
Phoenix Leader has a length of 199.94 meters, a beam of 32.2 meters and a draught of 34.80 meters. These measurements are forming one very large car carrier with gross tonnage of 61,804 metric tons. The cargo space is 55,484 cubic meters, and this is the exact space for 6,501 cars. The vessel has a fantastic measurements and the cargo space is divided into 13 car decks. The deck No 6 is the roll on/roll off deck. This is the place where the ship is loading. Liftable decks are provided for Nos. 7 and 9 decks to cope with high roof vans. The other upper decks from 6 to 12 have jump slopes instead of ramps with usual design. This permits to the cars to go straight ahead on each car deck without turning. Only on the odd number decks the hold ramps are installed. This is the most important about new more modern cargo system of Phoenix Leader.
